Adult Disability Services

Living life to the fullest in the community.

Since 1973, MAB has provided supports in a range of residential and vocational settings in the Greater Boston area for adults with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and secondary disorders such as blindness, deafness, behavioral challenges, cerebral palsy, and issues related to aging. Our experience allows us to help adults with diverse needs maximize their independence and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Between 500 and 600 young adults graduating from special education become eligible for state-funded employment and residential supports each year. To help respond to this growing need, MAB opened its first residences for young adults. Local businesses and organizations partner with MAB to provide innovative vocational, volunteer and recreational opportunities. We also collaborate with families and other service providers, to ensure that individuals with disabilities can pursue their dreams and live full lives in the community.

"On Saturday night I went out to dinner. I had a hamburger and fries, and an ice cream sundae for dessert. I paid for it with my own money, from working at MABWorks."
