Employment Descriptions
(15-20 Hours/Week)
Marketing specialist intern would:
o Research new avenues to advertise MABVI volunteer opportunities
o Develop targeted volunteer recruitment strategies
o Track and update MABVI volunteer postings
o Support Volunteer Program Coordinator in weekly program operations
o Conduct outreach to current volunteers and clients
o Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador of the MABVI volunteer program
This is an unpaid internship and could be for academic credit.

Full-time 40 hours: The Program Coordinator will oversee the day to day operations of the education department and provide training and guidance to the Education staff around behavior management and crisis prevention. Duties include: ensure classroom coverage for scheduled and non-scheduled absences of the Education staff; coordinate the morning transition of residential students to the classroom, oversee all behavior management documentation, provide Crisis Prevention training to all staff (training will be provided). Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Good organization and problem solving abilities, sound judgment, and teamwork mentality. Experience with students with special needs and behavioral issues is desired.

To support our students in volunteer opportunities, helping to ready young adults with disabilities for the work force. The Vocational Counselor will work with both individuals and groups of students to enrich existing vocational programs and assist in developing new employment opportunities. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree. Experience with individuals with special needs is a plus. Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.

Full time position in the Culinary Arts Department. Among other duties, under the supervision of the Culinary Arts Instructor, the Teaching Assistant assists with meal preparation and serving, student instruction and supervision, behavioral management, and kitchen management. The Teaching Assistant assumes control of the kitchen when the Culinary Arts Instructor is out. Quarterly, the Teaching Assistant also assists with meal preparation for special events that occur during the evening or a weekend. BA or one to two years related experience in Special Education - restaurant experience preferred.
