“Ivy Street School is a residential and day school for adolescents with acquired brain injury or other neurological disorders. Each year about a thousand adolescents sustain brain injuries in Massachusetts. Additionally, hundreds of other youngsters are diagnosed annually with challenging neurological conditions. Despite those numbers, Ivy Street is one of only a few schools in the nation dedicated to serving these adolescents. Our mission is to support youngsters and their families as they work to overcome neurological challenges. Naturally, that support is best accomplished in a child’s family home and community school. But, when other venues and interventions have not been successful, we strive to provide quality, family-supportive educational and clinical services within our residential setting.”

"I came to Ivy Street when I was 13 years old. Of course I was really scared. But the school has given me a whole lot of training and determination."
