"I became a student at the Ivy Street School after I had a traumatic brain injury in a car accident when I was seventeen. At the school I learned how to cope with the results of my injury and be an independent young woman. There are a lot of people who helped me get to this point, and helped me get a job where I can make a difference in other people’s lives. Going out to work every day and feeling like you’re needed is something that most people take for granted. But for me, it’s something I think about every day."
