Young Adults

As they approach their twenty-second birthday, students and their families begin to plan for life after Ivy Street. Many students return to their home towns, begin college coursework or jobs, or become part of residential programs sponsored by other organizations. Ivy Street also offers a small residential and vocational program for young adults, in collaboration with MAB’s Developmental Disability program. The program joins MAB’s 100 year history serving adults with Ivy Street’s expertise in brain injury and the transition to adulthood. Currently two community residences, Northdale and West Milton Street, serve young adults.

"I came to Ivy Street when I was 13 years old. Of course I was really scared. But the school has given me a whole lot of training and determination."

- Tim
