Our Volunteers
Our volunteers help blind or visually impaired individuals do things they can’t accomplish without sight, including reading mail, paying bills, shopping, and in some cases, much more. They are college students, retirees, engineers, homemakers, computer programmers, lawyers, investment bankers, moms, and everything in between. Each graphic below is a link to a brief recording describing a volunteer’s experience with MAB.

"Up until the early 90s my wife took care of our mail, paid the bills, and read my mail to me, but that became a trial and it wasn’t helpful to our relationship, so I took over the checkbook. I started paying the bills, and I got a volunteer from MAB to help me do it all."
