Congratulations to MCB Commissioners
MAB congratulates Paul Saner, who has been named the new commissioner of the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB). Paul is a longtime community leader and advocate for the blind, and a former managing director of BankBoston (now Bank of America).
We congratulate former MCB commissioner Janet LaBreck on her new appointment as President Obama’s commissioner of the Rehabilitation Services Administration in the Department of Education. For years Janet LaBreck has served as an ambassador for more than 30,000 legally blind residents across the Commonwealth. She will lend her expertise to help individuals with disabilities nationwide, just as she has done for those across Massachusetts.
MCB is a long-time partner of the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired; MABVI has partnered with the MCB for years to provide support group services to hundreds of visually impaired adults and elders around Massachusetts. MCB co-sponsors our annual Senior Connection, a day-long conference featuring experts in the fields of vision loss and aging. We congratulate the commission during this time of exciting new changes.
