Michaela Flaherty, 19, Wins Inagural Visually Impaired Division of Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women

On Columbus Day, 2015, Michaela Flaherty of Norwell won first place in the Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women‘s inagural Visually Impaired Division. This division was created in a partnership between the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired and our friends at Tufts Health Plan.

Diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa in 10th grade, Michaela hasn’t let that stop her from excelling. At only 19 years old, Michaela is an accomplished athlete, competing on the track team of Assumption College, where she is currently a sophomore.
