Learn about a great friendship formed through MABVI’s one-on-one Volunteer Program in our newest Insight blog.

Stephanie is a Public Relations professional for Eric Mower + Associates, freelance writer, and VP of Communications for Delta Gamm’s Boston Alumnae Chapter. Dean is a man who refuses to let blindness prevent him from living life to the fullest, whether it’s playing blues guitar in Cambridge, becoming an ordained reverend, or cooking an annual Thanksgiving meal for over 20 guests.

These two likely would not have met if it weren’t for MABVI’s one-on-one Volunteer Program, and now, in only a few months, they have formed a close bond. Not only does Stephanie help Dean with household tasks, but they laugh together, talk about the Patriots, and Stephanie learns from the life experience of a man who has done it all.
