MAB’s Adult Disability Services Opens New Group Home in Westwood

MAB’s Adult Disability Services (ADS) is happy to announce that it has opened a new group home in Westwood. The four male residents have all moved from area nursing homes into their new home which is funded through the Department of Developmental Services’ ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) program. The men have comfortably settled into their new home and enjoyed the holidays together.
“MAB’s newest home in Westwood is an exciting addition to Adult Disability Services family of group residences,” says ADS Director Rick Kalish. “It’s a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood and it has given these four residents an opportunity to leave the nursing homes in which they’ve been living and enjoy the comfort of living in their own home. Having a home to live in grants them opportunities such as having friends and family come to visit, or to go out for entertainment and shopping.”
